If you're a serious beauty lover (which if you're here, you probably are), then you may have thought about trying to get some beauty products for free! I mean, who hasn't. It's a girls dream and in this post I'm going to share with you some good ways on how to do it!
Little disclaimer before we begin: I have tried these sites and they have worked for me, but they may not work for you and you may not receive products that you may want. I am not accountable for this.
Now that's out of the way, onto my first tip!
For the beauty obsessed:
Mac's recycling scheme! This is such a good idea introduced by Mac. Their recycling scheme consists of you giving in 6 of your empty Mac products - be it a lipstick tube, eyeshadow pan etc. and you get one full sized lipstick or eyeshadow for free! If you're Mac obsessed like I am, you rake in empties all the damn time, so this is so easy for getting a few extra pieces. No effort at all.
For the beauty blogger:
I signed up to this site a few months back and it's actually really cool. It's called bloggersrequired.com. Basically, people who are starting up new companies post asking for a specific type of blogger. You go onto the website and find products which are suitable for your blog! By contacting the poster, they send you their beauty products in exchange for a blog piece written about what you thought - then you keep the product! It's a great idea for bloggers who also need some inspiration or help with what to write about. I'm yet to actually write a review of one of the products but I hope to soon.
For those with a bit more cash:
I know this post is about how to get free makeup, but sometimes you just can't! If you're not a blogger and you're not beauty obsessed it can seem very difficult. So in times like this I suggest buying cheaper makeup! There are so many dupes out there that are practically as good as the high end stuff. Yes, your eyeshadow might crease quicker or your lipstick is easier to rub off, but all it takes is a little extra upkeep during the day and you can have just as flawless makeup!
For anyone willing to take a little risk:
I have heard so many good reviews about this website: producttesting.uk.com. Everywhere I look it seems to be the go-to product testing website. It's very similar to bloggers required except you don't need a popular blog in order to do it! You just have to write a review for them of the product. I have not tried this site myself but from what people have told me you don't get products sent to you very often, unless you become a top reviewer. As well as that they may not always be products like makeup or beauty, they might be anything from gadgets to juicers!
I hope this post helped you out on how to get some freebies! Product testing really is a great way to try out new things. Just to let you know, this post was in no way sponsored by any of the above companies, they're just my ways of getting a few little extras.
How have I never heard of the MAC recycling scheme before? That's amazing! I hope a ton of MAC-lovers read your post so they know, as I'm now wondering how many people just throw away their empties without knowing about this?! :)
