With a recent trip to Bicester shopping village came a very sad bank account, but do I care? Not in the slightest because I picked up so many goodies. Obviously there were plenty of clothes purchased but one of my favourite shops in shopping outlets like that is The Cosmetics Store. They sell reduced makeup what more does a girl like myself want? Oh yeah a hunky boyfriend would be nice. Oh well. With that being said, here's my opinion on what I got.
The two eyeshadow refill pans I bought are from MAC (where else?). The one on the left is called Quarry and is a medium muted mauve, that was a lot of m's. The one on the right is called Mystery. I always find MAC shadows a little bit hit-or-miss if I'm honest, especially when you're buying matte ones. But, I love these two colours, Quarry more than Mystery though. Mystery is very cool toned in colour and with blue eyes, sometimes makes me look a bit washed out.
The two eyeliner gels are also by MAC and they are the fluidlines. I thought these were awesome and I saw some really cool tutorials on how to do funky winged liner over the normal black so I thought I'd give it a try. They are so easy to use I swear I would never use a different liner again! The colour on the left is Looking Good and the colour on the right is Brassy. The only slight problem was public criticism! I think my favourite comment was "why is your eyeliner pink, you look like a cheap hooker". But hey, people are gonna hate what they don't know!
Lastly, Estee Lauder double wear. Oh where to begin. After so much hype about this foundation I decided to bite the bullet and try it, oh how I miss the days of ignorance about this product. At first I thought it was a good foundation, until I hit the daylight that is! Orange, blotchy and clagging in my drier areas. I have difficult skin to wear foundation with admittedly, but this was bad. Do I want to go back to year 7 with the elusive "slag lines" that showed up on my chin. No thank you. I was so disappointed because not only does it cost a fortune for a foundation, I'd been colour matched in store to find the right shade, and this definitely isn't it. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone!
